PROJECTS

Immersive experiences create buzz around your event, tradeshow or retail environment.  Using creative technology solutions, with accessible hardware, and intelligent programming and design, we can provide a winning solution.   Here are just a few of our recent projects...

Touch Table:
Pink Panther Head-to-Head
Quiz Game

Client:      Owens Corning

Agency:   The Taylor Group

My Role:  Software design, programming,

                development, hardware engineering,

                technical direction, onsite

                deployment and execution

The Pink Panther Quiz Game pits four players against each other in a head-to-head competition to see who has the most knowledge of the Owens Corning brand and roofing products.   A separate leader board tracks the top 10 scores each day.  The top scores receive a prize.  This experience generated long lines, and great ROI results for the client.

Augmented Reality:
The AR Neighborhood Table

Client:      Owens Corning

Agency:   The Taylor Group

My Role:  Software design, programming,

                development, hardware engineering,

                technical direction, onsite

                deployment and execution

The “Neighborhood” Augmented Reality Table is designed to engage attendees and demonstrate the client's four key construction systems.  Augmented Reality (AR) takes a view of the real world via a webcam, and superimposes computer generated 3D modeled images to create a composite view.   In order to experience the Neighborhood, the guests look through a Microsoft Surface Tablet, where a small city of buildings will appear before their eyes.  As they explore the Neighborhood, they will be able to select and explore several of the buildings and peel back the layers of a wall's construction.  Added informational panels will appear to inform and educate. This unique experience provides users with an engaging new technique for exploring client products.

Agency:   PBJS

My Role:  Technical Direction, planning, hardware                       engineering, international onsite                                     deployment and global execution

As the International Technical Director for the "Ascend the Wall" Oculus Rift Experience for HBO's The Game of Thrones, It was our job to work with the various agencies involved in the creation of all of the experience's component parts, figure out what made it all tick, and then tweak it all so it would run flawlessly on a global tour.  We then deployed this awesome VR experience to many thousands of fans in each of the many countries we visited with our Game of Thrones Exhibition.

Meeting Room &
Theater Manager

Client:     Bethesda Softworks

Agency:   Purepartner by Design

My Role:  Software Development; Hardware

                  Architecture; Onsite Deployment and

                  Support Services

In years past, our client had significant challenges efficiently booking, organizing and tracking appointments for their many meeting rooms and theaters within their event space.  We developed a custom Appointment Manager (APM) application suite.  This app was developed as a web service application.  The client would book all of their meetings and theater appointments prior to the show.  Then we had a bank of workstations at the entrance to the booth where the guests would check in for their appointments.  This system revolutionized their show floor efficiency.

Large Scale Interactives

Client:      Ownes Corning

Agency:    Sparks

Role:         Project Mgmt; Hardware Architecture;

                   Onsite  Deployment and Support Services

Owens Corning wanted to demonstrate how the builders could use the OC system components to create a better roof, or to provide better insulation for their customers.  This was the talk of the show.

This interactive uses a multi-touch engine to provide an immersive experience for the attendee.

Large Format Gameshow

Client:    Widex
Agency:  Sparks
My Role: Overall Project Mgmt; Software Development;

Hardware Architecture; Onsite  Deployment                        and Support Services

A high tech Quiz Game was used to draw attendees into the booth space.  The game was displayed on a 25 foot wide LED array.  Between Game sessions we alternated between the client's video content and a Game "Leader Board".

We used five Windows Tablets for the touchscreen player stations.   A 23" all-in-one TouchSmart PC was used for the host station and a laptop system was hidden inside the wall to run the big LED array.   The Quiz Game was well attended and the response from the attendees and the client was excellent!
